Michigan's Adventure

Last Saturday Grandma Nyboer took the whole family to Michigan's Adventure. I had a blast. First we played in the water park and I got to splash around in the kiddie pool. I even went down the small slide in the kiddie pool with mom. Then we went on some rides. Normally I would be too small to ride on some of them but since I had my cousins to help me I was able to go. My grandma even tried to ride on a boat ride with me and got temporarily stuck in the boat. Good thing grandma has a great spirit because we laughed and laughed. We love making memories together.

Vacation

Last week we spent 4 nights up at Rose and Gary Bryan's cottage. We were in real need of a vacation and it was just the kind that we like. We relaxed the whole time. We went up with mom's side of the family. It was the first time in a very long time that she and all her brothers and sisters were on a vacation together. I hardly ever get to sped time with Aunt Lindsey and Aunt Katie so it was really great to spend time with my family.

We spent our days lounging on their private beach. And my favorite thing was to go for rides. I got to drive their golf cart and quads (with dad and mom's help) all over their 200 and some acres. I thought I was pretty big stuff.

One night the whole family went down and shot clay pigeons. We were all surprised that I wasn't even afraid of the sound of the guns. Grandpa says " that is the first step at a great hunter". Grandpa showed us the gun that I will get some day. I can't wait until I am old enough to go hunting with Grandpa and Uncle Mike.

Binder Park Zoo

On Friday we went to Binder Park Zoo with Grandma Stegenga. I was there last year with my other grandma but I was still too little to see all the animals. I call all animals puppies so mom and grandma tried to teach me all of them. My favorite animal was the giraffes. You can pet and feed them cookies. It was a fun day!

Beach Bum

Yesterday we went to the beach. I had a great time playing in the sand and kicking in the water. I like to watch the other kids play too. I really like being a beach bum!

Splish Splash

The weather has been so nice mom dug out the kiddie pool so I could splish splash around. The hose is very fun to play with. I like to drink out of it. In July the Sandy Pine water park is supposed to open and I can't wait. Mom and I can go there and play in the kiddie pool and activity area with other kids. Maybe we can even see dad on his lunch break:)

Memorial Day

I had a very busy but fun Memorial Day. We started out by getting up early and going to the Pancake Breakfast at church. It's a lot of fun because most of the town is there. Then we walked across the street to watch the parade. This year my cousin's Brendan and Karsyn rode their quads in the parade. I can't wait until I am old enough to do that. Maybe next year dad can take me. I got lotsa candy!

After a big long nap, we went back to Brendan and Karsyn's house and had a bonfire. We played in the sand box and played with toys. I got really dirty! I think we should have more cookouts often because I loved it:)

Mmmmm...Icecream!

Today was a beautiful day we played outside, went for a walk, then had a treat! I really am a big boy now! And I am glad because it means that I get my own icecream cone. I have had only a few so far this year but mom says I am getting better (believe it or not) at eating it by myself.
